Adopt a resolution approving a professional services agreement with Sanderson Bellecci Co. to provide engineering design and environmental services for the Safe Route to School Pedestrian Safety Improvement CIP 23006 for an amount of $260,630, approving a project contingency of 5% $13,035 for a total not-to-exceed of $ 273,665; and authorizing the City Manager or designee to take all appropriate actions necessary to carry out the purpose and intent of the resolution.

Background:
The Safe Route to School Pedestrian Safety Improvement Project (Project) sites are located in close proximity to four (4) elementary and two (2) high schools. These schools have a combined enrollment of approximately 6,050 students.
On February 15, 2022, the City of Manteca (City) entered into a Measure K Cooperative Agreement with SJCOG for the Safe Route to School Pedestrian Safety Improvement project in the amount of $1,500,000 for the City's planning, engineering design, environmental services, construction, construction management, and construction support for the Project.
On November 30, 2023, the City issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) to invite qualified engineering firms to provide proposals for the professional engineering design and environmental services for the Safe Routes to School Pedestrian Safety Improvement Project CIP 23006.
The City responded to all questions received on December 18, 2023. The RFP closed on January 16, 2024.
