Background:
The Replace Fencing along Crom Street project (CIP 24037) at the Manteca Golf Course includes the demolition and removal of the existing fencing and concrete footings, minor grading, installation of a new chain link fencing with an additive alternate of black. This project is located at the Manteca Golf Course, the location map (Attachment 2) displays the project boundaries.
In order to optimize expenditure of local funds, the project plans, specifications and estimate were prepared by City Staff. City Staff will also provide Construction Management support services for this project.
On August 20, 2024, City Council authorized a Call for Bids and approved the plans, specifications, and estimate, for this Project.

The low bid was within the staff’s expected cost range and recommends accepting the Additive Alternate No. 1 making all fencing and materials black.
Fiscal Impact:
The total construction contract with Westside Landscape and Concrete, Inc., including additive alternate no. 1, is $248,190.46 and City Staff recommends approval for additional project contingency of $31,809.54 for a total project not exceed amount of $280,000.
There is sufficient funding in the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Capital Improvement Program Project Budget within the Golf Fund (Fund 620) and the American Rescue Plan Act Fund (Fund 110) for the Replace Fencing along Crom Street CIP 24037 at the Manteca Golf Course as outlined in the below table:
