Subject: Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee Appointments

It is recommended that the City Council interview and appoint six applicants, to the Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee to fill five regular member seats and one alternate seat. One member (at-large) and the alternate (at-large) will be appointed by the Mayor with terms ending December 31, 2026, one member that will be appointed by the District 3 Councilmember with a term ending December 31, 2026, one member that will be appointed by the District 4 Councilmember with a term ending December 31, 2026, one member that will be appointed by the District 2 Councilmember with a term ending December 31, 2028 and one member that will be appointed by the District 1 Councilmember with a term ending December 31, 2028.

Background:
COMPOSITION OF COMMISSION:
Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee consists of five regular members and one alternate member, appointed to district terms. The members must be residents of the City and registered voters.
There are six positions that will be filled - five members and one alternate. One member (at-large) and one alternate (at-large) will be appointed by the Mayor with an ending term of December 31, 2026, one member will be appointed by the District 4 Councilmember with an ending term of December 31, 2026, one member will be appointed by the District 3 Councilmember with an ending term of December 31, 2026, one member that will be appointed by the District 2 Councilmember with a term ending December 31, 2028 and one member that will be appointed by the District 1 Councilmember with a term ending December 31, 2028.
APPLICATIONS RECEIVED:
We received seven applications that met the minimum requirements of being a resident of the City of Manteca and a current registered voter. These individuals are list below:
