Background:

On February 14, 2024, the City of Manteca and the property owner of “The Crossing - Manteca”, Diamond Galaxy Partners, LLC, entered into “The Crossing - Manteca Improvement Agreement” (C2024-126) with the Estimated Total Cost of Improvements of $2,975,990.

 

“The Crossing - Manteca” improvement plans included: pavement overlay; raised medians for the frontage along S. Airport Way and W. Atherton Drive; traffic signal improvements at the intersection of S. Airport Way at W. Atherton Drive; and traffic signal improvements at Langum Way and W. Atherton Drive.

 

Significant portions of these improvements are included in the Transportation System of the City’s Public Facilities Implementation Program (P.F.I.P.) and are eligible for reimbursement.  During construction of the approved improvements, unforeseen field conditions necessitated additional work that was not identified in the plans, and therefore also not reflected in the Improvement Agreement as reimbursable. The additional improvements included work to construct the needed pavement section, raised medians, and traffic signal improvements. The cost of the additional work is $288,715.40.

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

In accordance with “The Crossing - Manteca” Improvement Agreement, the City shall credit or reimburse the Developer its cost to install these respective portions of the City’s Transportation System.

 

By approving this Amendment No. 1, the total eligible P.F.I.P. reimbursement amount for the Transportation System (Fund 590), will increase to $2,098,842.52.
