body

Background:

The City Council approved the Improvement Agreement for the Drain 5 Relocation on September 6, 2023. The estimated cost of the improvements is $4,493,088.35, as included in the Improvement Agreement.

The installed improvements include the piping, headwall structures and a new outfall at the French Camp Outlet Canal to realign Drain 5 so it follows the approved route on the Villa Ticino West Tentative Map.

The public improvements for the Drain 5 Relocation have been completed in accordance with the approved improvement plans. Refer to the attached memorandum from the City Construction Inspector (Attachment 2).

In accordance with the City of Manteca Municipal Code, the Performance Bond will be exonerated upon acceptance of the improvements by City Council and submittal of a Warranty Bond. The Labor and Materials Bond will be exonerated six (6) months after the date of acceptance if no claims have been received by the City for lack of payment. The Warranty Bond will be exonerated twelve (12) months after the date of acceptance, once the improvements have been re-inspected and the work is found to be in good condition as determined by the City Engineer or any defects have been repaired.
