Proclamation honoring Municipal Clerks Week, May 4 - May 10, 2025.

Background:
The City of Manteca is proud to observe Municipal Clerks Week from May 4th to May 10th. This week is aimed at increasing the public’s awareness of Municipal Clerks and the vital services they provide for local government and the community.
This year is the 56th Annual Municipal Clerks Week, initiated in 1969 by International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) and is endorsed by all its members throughout the United States, Canada and 15 other countries.
This week has been recognized twice in both 1984 and in 1994 by Presidents Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton. Both respectively, signed a Proclamation officially declaring Professional Municipal Clerks Week the first full week of May and recognizing the essential role Municipal Clerks play in local government.
The Office of the City Clerk, will be present to accept the Proclamation.
