Subject: Appointment of Planning Commission Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary for the 2026 Calendar Year
Background:
Pursuant to Article III of the Planning Commission Bylaws, the Commission shall nominate and elect a Chair and Vice Chair for the calendar year.
Planning Commission nominate and vote to appoint a member of the Commission to the Chair and Vice Chair positions. Staff requests that these nominations be made by separate motions.
Additionally, it is requested that the Planning Commission elect the Development Services Director to serve as the Planning Commission Secretary. The Development Services Director has the authority to delegate secretarial duties to another member of the Development Services Department.
The elected Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary positions, respectively, will fill the position for the calendar year.
