Background:

The Woodward Park Splash Pad - Phase II Restroom Relocation Project (CIP 24086) is part of a continued effort to enhance public amenities within Woodward Park. This project serves as second phase of the Woodward Park Splash Pad Project (CIP 24086), which is currently underway and Phase II improvements will relocate the existing premanufactured restroom.

As part of the Splash Pad Project, a new, code-compliant restroom structure is being installed adjacent to the splash pad area to meet accessibility and operational standards. This new facility will replace the existing premanufactured restroom currently located on-site.

Rather than demolishing the existing premanufactured restroom structure, the City has identified an opportunity to repurpose and relocate it to the opposite side of the basin within Woodward Park. This approach provides added flexibility for future programming and public use. Once relocated, the building will be enclosed within fencing, allowing it to be opened during events or designated times to support park activities and increased visitor traffic.
