Staff recommends that the City Council receive an update on the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 City Council Goals & Priorities Work Plan.

Background:
On January 16, 2024, the City Council adopted a new mission, vision, and values statement:
Manteca City C.O.U.N.C.I.L. - Community. Optimism. United. Neighborly. Commitment. Integrity. Leadership.
The Manteca City Council embodies the values of community, neighborly compassion, and unwavering commitment to integrity, leadership, and optimism.
During the same meeting, the Council adopted five strategic priority areas in ranking order for Fiscal Year 2024-2025:
1. Plan for Updating City Infrastructure and Facilities
2. Economic Development & Vitality
3. Public Safety
4. Expand Homelessness & Housing Options and Solutions
5. Stabilize City Finances
On February 28, 2024, the City Council established a Goals & Priorities Work Plan for Fiscal Year 2024-25. Attachment 1 represents the Goals and Priorities Work Plan and includes status updates for each goal as of September 2024. The staffing goals within the Work Plan have been consolidated into a new section, as they are primarily focused on internal operations.
