Background:
At the City Council Regular Meeting of May 16, 2023, City Council appointed Engineering Director Kevin Jorgensen to serve as the alternate member on the San Joaquin County Advisory Water Commission. The Alternate member shall serve on the board in the absence of the appointed Councilmember Breitenbucher. In February 2026, Kevin Jorgensen was promoted to Assistant City Manager. Due to the promotion of Mr. Jorgensen is requesting to appoint Deputy Director of Engineering Somporn Boonsalat to finish the unexpired term of Mr. Jorgensen that will expire March 2027.
