Background:
The November 5, 2024, General Municipal Election included City voter consideration of one candidate for the District 1 Councilmember seat, three candidates for the District 2 Councilmember seat and a Ballot Measure.

The Resolution, included in this staff report as Attachment 1, certifies the results of the November 5, 2024, election, confirming the Official Certificate of Results from the San Joaquin Registrar of Voters. This confirms that Charlie Halford was elected as District 1 Councilmember for a term of four-years, Regina Lackey was elected as District 2 Councilmember for a term of four-years and the passage of Measure Q.

Fiscal Impact:
Funds for consolidated elections are budgeted during election years. The San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters estimated the cost of the 2024, Consolidated General Municipal Election for the City of Manteca to be $300,000 - $350,000. This was the estimated cost the actual cost will be billed in February 2025.
