Machado Ranch - South Drain Bypass Improvement Agreement |
Recommendation:
title
Adopt a resolution approving the Improvement Agreement for the South Drain Bypass at Machado Ranch.
body
Background:
GGM Manteca Land Holdings, LLC is relocating the existing pump station and installing a storm drain bypass to discharge storm water from the South Drain storm line located in Woodwood Avenue to the South San Joaquin Irrigation District (SSJID) facilities adjacent to Woodward Avenue. The pump station and bypass drain are being relocated for the widening and improvements to Woodward Avenue adjacent to the Machado Ranch Unit No. 2 subdivision.
The construction of the improvements to the pump station and bypass line is restricted to work between October 15th and March 15th, outside of SSJID’s irrigation season.
At this time, GGM Manteca Land Holdings, LLC, developer of Machado Ranch, is seeking to enter into an Improvement Agreement to construct the South Drain Bypass improvements. These improvements were required by SSJID and the City to facilitate the development and improve stormwater infrastructure.
The owners have worked with the City to complete the agreement for work in the public right-of-way and have submitted the required bonds. With this action, City Council will be approving the Improvement Agreement for the reconstruction of the existing pump station and the installation of a bypass line to the SSJID facility in Woodward Avenue.
Fiscal Impact:
There is no fiscal impact associated with this action.
