Background:
The City of Manteca uses SORB 33 to remove Arsenic from its drinking water. Staff released a request for proposal (RFP) on November 6, 2024, requesting proposals to provide media replacement and disposal services for the City water wells. The RFP solicitation period closed on December 12, 2024, at which time, the city received four proposals.

On December 18, 2024, city staff convened a committee to review the proposals based on the requirements listed in the RFP. Using a scorecard based on project criteria such as cost and media guarantee, staff considered the firm's proposals and qualifications and determined that AdEdge Water Technologies, LLC, was the highest ranked proposal.

The three-year agreement (with two optional one-year extensions) will be funded in the Water Operations and Maintenance annual budget and includes a 1% contingency (the bid amount of $4,113,633.09 and a 1% contingency of $41,136.33 (rounded)).






Fiscal Impact:
