Recommendation:

title

Adopt a resolution accepting a donation in the amount of $500 from Phantom Administrative, LLC (Phantom Fireworks) for equipment for the Manteca Police Department Bomb Squad and appropriate those funds to General Fund (Fund 100).

body

Background:

Phantom Administrative LLC has generously donated $500 to the Manteca Police Department Bomb Squad to support public safety operations. The Police Department intends to use the donation to purchase equipment and related accessories that will assist the Bomb Squad in safely responding to incidents involving explosives or suspicious devices.

Acceptance of the donation requires formal approval by the City Council in accordance with City policy regarding the receipt of gifts and contributions.

Fiscal Impact:

Staff recommends accepting the donation from Phantom Administrative, LLC (Phantom Fireworks) in the amount of $500 and appropriating those funds in the General Fund (Fund 100). Because the expenditure is fully offset by the donation revenue, there is no net impact on the General Fund.
