Background:
The Zone 36/39 Storm Drain Improvements Project (CIP 20004) includes a sixty-six-inch (66") gravity storm drain line within Woodward Avenue to property owned by Reclamation District 17 (RD 17) on Aplicella Court. From the RD 17 property, a pump station and forty-eight-inch (48") force main will carry the storm runoff to the former Oakwood Lake Water District corporation yard and over the levy to an outfall structure on the San Joaquin River.

On January 21, 2020, the City Council authorized the expenditure and execution of an Agreement for Professional Services with Dewberry in an amount not-to-exceed $1,191,268 for the Zone 36/39 Storm Drain Improvements Project for Engineering, Environmental, and Permitting Services.

The outfall structure on the San Joaquin River has a narrow window of construction in accordance to the environmental permitting that would preclude in-water construction on the outfall from November 1st through July 31st.
