Background:
The City Council has stressed the importance of pavement maintenance to prolong existing pavement life and reduce more costly repairs in the future.

In order to expedite the construction schedule and optimize use of local funds, staff has prepared the Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) for the Shasta Park Area Pavement Improvement Project (the "Project"). The Project includes placement of rubberized cape seal, asphalt overlay, installation of ADA curb ramps, digout repairs, crack sealing, and striping.

The Project is located in the Shasta Park area, east of N. Main Street, south of E. Louise Avenue, west of Hwy 99, and north of E. Edison Street, see Attachment 4 - Location Map.

The Engineer's estimate for the Project construction is $1,700,000, and does not include any additional design services, funding requirements, construction management, or Project contingencies.
