Background:

San Joaquin County recorded over 80 deaths by suicide in 2017; each death by suicide directly impacts numerous family members, friends, loved ones, and by extension the entire community.

September 8^th through 14^th is recognized across the United States as Suicide Prevention Week and provides the opportunity to educate oneself about warning signs and how best to help those most in need.
