Background:
The City of Manteca Engineering Department has utilized DF Engineering, Inc. over the past two years on an as-needed basis to supplement plan checking services when workload and/or staff levels prevent timely delivery of these services by City staff, consistent with department goals. This service helps meet the ebb and flow of development demand in a cost effective and time sensitive manner.

The current Agreement is nearing the not-to-exceed total of $75,000 but will not expire until December 31, 2024. To ensure continuity of services, staff recommends extending the term to June 30,2025, to align with the fiscal year, and increase the not-to-exceed total to $150,000, with an associated budget appropriation.

Fiscal Impact:
Staff recommend Council to approve a Budget Appropriation to Account No. 810.45.40.000-6000.08 in the amount of $75,000 for Amendment No. 1 to contract C2023-94 with DF Engineering, Inc.
