Background:
The City of Manteca (City) identified the need to provide storm water drainage for the portion of the City south of State Route 120. The Zone 36/39 Storm Drain Improvements Phase 1 Outfall (CIP 20004) (Project) is the first of two phases designed to meet this need and will construct a new outfall on the San Joaquin River as well as a new conveyance line from just west of the Woodward Avenue and Aplicella Court intersection to the outfall location. The second phase, currently unfunded, will consist of a new pump station near the southwest corner of Woodward Avenue and Aplicella Court to pump storm water through the conveyance line to the outfall. The City has conditioned new development to construct the storm drainage trunk line to the future pump station location.
