title
Adopt a resolution approving Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement (C2022-98) with Fruit Growers Laboratory, Inc. for domestic water testing, increasing the not-to-exceed total from $75,000 to $125,000 and extending the term to June 30, 2027; and authorizing the City Manager to sign Amendment No. 1 and take all appropriate actions necessary to carry out the purpose and intent of the resolution.

body

On July 13, 2022, the City entered an Agreement for Professional Services (C2022-98) with Fruit Growers Laboratory, Inc. (FGL) under the City Manager's contract authority to provide as-needed analytical laboratory testing services in a time efficient and cost-effective manner over a three-year term. The City utilizes FGL's services for domestic water sampling and testing to ensure completed development projects meet water quality standards before they are accepted. The Agreement not-to-exceed amount was set at $75,000. It is prudent to continue utilizing FGL's services to ensure continuity of services, and therefore staff recommends increasing the not-to-exceed total to $125,000 and extending the term to June 30, 2027.

Fiscal Impact:
There is no net cost to the City for the additional analytical laboratory testing services under this Amendment No. 1 as these costs are paid via development fees collected from the respective developments. This Amendment No. 1 to professional services agreement C2022-98 will increase the total by $50,000, for a total not-to-exceed amount of $125,000. Services provided are paid utilizing existing funding from Engineering (Fund 810) Professional Services Consultant Acc...
