Background:
The City owns the two adjacent parcels located at 1565 W. Atherton Drive (APN 226-16-003) and 1403 W. Atherton Drive (APN 226-16-022), having approximate size of 0.63 Acre and 3.85 Acres respectively.

The common property line between the two parcels needs to be adjusted in order to accommodate the future installation of a digital billboard at 1565 W. Atherton Drive. The property line adjustment will result in 1565 W. Atherton Drive being approximately 0.77 Acre, and 1403 W. Atherton Drive being approximately 3.70 Acres. Execution and acceptance of the attached Grant Deeds, by the City, will effectuate the intended property line adjustment between the two parcels.

Finalizing this property line adjustment is necessary to move forward with a proposed lease agreement for the installation and operation of a digital billboard on the site. A separate lease agreement will be presented to City Council for consideration at a future date. The proposed digital billboard is anticipated to provide a new revenue-generating opportunity for the City through lease payments, while supporting local economic activity. Additionally, it will enhance visibility along a high-traffic corridor by promoting local businesses, community events, and public messaging, and serve as a modern gateway feature for the City.
