Subject:

Accept a Grant for an Easement at 3536 and 3628 W. Woodward Avenue

Recommendation:

title

Adopt a resolution accepting a Grant Deed from John Gregory Kisst and Tamela Joann Kisst, et al for a variable width sanitary sewer and storm drain easement over a portion of 3536 and 3628 W. Woodward Avenue.

body

Background:

To allow construction of a portion of the City’s Zone 36/39 sixty-six inch (66”) storm drain pipe and a planned City ten-inch (10”) sewer main line through The Trails of Manteca subdivision, City staff worked with the property owners of 3536 and 3628 to obtain an easement over the alignment of the pipes.

In the future the subdivision’s Final Map will dedicate right-of-way to the City where the easement is currently being dedicated. Since the subdivision’s Final Map has yet to be filed and its timing is unknown, the easement is necessary to give the City the right to have the pipe constructed now and to maintain the pipe until the Final Map is filed and the right-of-way is granted.

Fiscal Impact:

There is no fiscal impact associated with this action.
