Approve an amendment to the employment agreement for Jose Jasso, Assistant City Manager.

Background:
Jose Jasso has served as the Assistant City Manager since October 18, 2023 (previously appointed the Interim Assistant City Manager on May 2, 2022).
Per Manteca Municipal Code Section 2.08.070(C), while the City Manager may select an Assistant City Manager, such a selection requires approval by the City Council. As such, City Manager Lundgren seeks City Council approval for the proposed amendment to the employment agreement for Mr. Jasso.
The proposed amendment only includes an extension to the term of the agreement. The amendment includes a one-year agreement extension to December 31, 2025, with an additional one-year optional extension as mutually agreed upon by both parties, for a time period not to exceed December 31, 2026.
Fiscal Impact:
There is no proposed salary adjustment for Assistant City Manager. Exhibit B attached to the original agreement remains in effect, which is the Executive Management Compensation and Benefits Plan, which includes City Council approved salary and benefit provisions.
