Adopt resolutions 1) Calling and Giving Notice of the General Municipal Election to be held Tuesday, November 3, 2026, for the purpose of electing a Mayor and two Councilmembers for Districts 3 & 4; and (2) requesting county services required to consolidate the election; and 3) approving regulations for Candidates for Elective Office pertaining to Candidate's Statements submitted to the voters at the election.

Background:
Calling and Giving Notice & Request for Consolidation of the Election:
The 2026 General Municipal Election will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2026, for the purpose of electing one Mayor and two Councilmembers for Districts 3 & 4. The terms of Mayor Singh and Councilmembers Breitenbucher District 3 and Morowit District 4 are expiring.
Pursuant to California State Elections code Section 10403, draft resolution (1) Calls and Give Notices of holding a General Municipal Election, draft resolution (2) requests the San Joaquin Board of Supervisors consolidate the City's General Municipal Election with the Statewide Election.
The City works closely with San Joaquin County for election services. The County is reimbursed for services performed when the work is completed. If approved, the City Clerk will file the resolutions with the San Joaquin County Elections Official and the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors for placement on the Board of Supervisor's Regular Meeting Agenda.
