Their work spans a wide range of critical functions that directly support the daily lives of Manteca residents, businesses, and stakeholders.

                     Facilities Maintenance

                     Fleet Services

                     Golf Course Operations

Park Operations / Parks Planning and Projects

                     Solid Waste & Recycling

                     Streets Maintenance

                     Transit Services

                     Wastewater Collection and Treatment

                     Water Treatment and Distribution

National Public Works Week is a time to celebrate and recognize the professionalism, commitment, and vital contributions of Public Works staff. The 2025 theme, “People, Purpose, Presence,” reflects the core values that drive public works professionals in their everyday service to the community. Their purpose is rooted in meeting the needs of people-often without recognition, as their work is most visible when something goes wrong. But even when unnoticed, public works is always there-steadfast and essential-quietly enhancing the quality of life for everyone.
