Background:
A PowerPoint presentation will be given by the Transit Division on the New Fixed Route Redesign Bus Network Concept. Transit Division initiated a comprehensive redesign of its' fixed route transit system to enhance transit accessibility, improve service frequency, expand coverage areas and extend service hours for the community to utilize transit for work, school, recreation, medical appointments and other activities.

Manteca Transit currently operates four fixed routes throughout the City of Manteca, Monday through Friday and three fixed routes on Saturday. As part of the redesigning process, the City and its transit consultant team, Fehr and Peers, have conducted community outreach efforts to gather feedback and better understand the transportation needs of residents, riders, businesses, and stakeholders.

Community engagement efforts have included rider and community surveys, public workshops, outreach events, and direct engagement with stakeholders and local businesses. Information regarding surveys and workshops has been widely promoted through the City's social media platforms, bus shelters, the Transit Center, onboard transit buses, and through direct outreach within the community,

Transit Staff is seeking City Council input regarding the new transit concept and all feedback received from the City Council will be incorporated into the continued refinement of the redesign bus network.
