Background:

 

The Manteca Municipal Code (MMC) Chapter 2.28, was amended in December 2024 to account for an expanded Recreation and Parks Commission in terms of both duties and number of members. 

 

In reviewing how and when the Commission reviews the park conceptual master plans and proposed park development, the Staff is proposing a “clean-up” amendment to the ordinance to ensure an efficient and effective review process by the Commission, bearing in mind the roles of both the Planning Commission and the City Council vis-à-vis this process.

 

Fiscal Impact:

There is no fiscal impact with this action.
