Recommendation:
title
Adopt a resolution authorizing Contract Amendment No. 1 for General Services Agreement C2024-166 with PeopleReady, Inc extending the contract term to June 30, 2026, and increasing the compensation by $130,000 for a total not-to-exceed amount of $230,000; and authorize the City Manager or their designee to execute all related documents.

body
Background:
On October 22, 2024, City of Manteca entered into an agreement (C2024-166) with PeopleReady, Inc for $100,000 for services providing its temporary workers ("Associates") to the City on a temporary basis to perform the services required in the Solid Waste Division.

The Solid Waste Division is standardizing all residential carts within the City. To be able to perform this task, temporary workers ("Associates") are used along with City staff to complete this work. The temporary workers provide the service of building carts that are delivered to the residents, assist with switching the carts on routes, and the break-down of the old carts for recycling.

In this Amendment No. 1, staff requests to increase the compensation of the contract from $100,000 to $230,000 to ensure the costs of the temporary workers ("Associates") and services and unforeseen costs are accounted for and requests to extend the contract date to June 30, 2026.

Fiscal Impact:
Amendment No. 1 is for an additional $130,000 for a contract total not-to-exceed amount of $230,000 and to extend the contract term to June 30, 2026. There is sufficient funding in the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Operating Budget in Solid Waste Fund (660) for this recommendation.
