Subject: Appointment of Planning Commission Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary

Background:

Pursuant to Article III of the Planning Commission Bylaws, the Commission shall nominate and elect a Chair and Vice Chair for the calendar year.

Planning Commission nominate and vote to elect a member of the Commission to the Chair and Vice Chair positions. Staff requests that these nominations be made by separate motions. 

Additionally, it is requested that the Planning Commission elect the Director of Development Services serve as the Planning Commission Secretary. The Director of Development Services has the power to delegate that authority to another member of the Development Services Staff.

The elected Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary positions respectively, will fill the position for the calendar year.
