Receive a brief presentation regarding the community budget engagement initiative including a public survey and upcoming workshops.

Background:
The Finance Department launched Your Budget. Your Voice., a community budget engagement initiative, to expand community participation as planning begins for the Fiscal Year 2027-28 Budget.
The public survey is open through August 31, 2026. Participants do not need to live within the City limits to respond. The survey asks about City services, community priorities and preferred workshop dates, times and locations. Responses will help staff plan the workshops and focus the discussions on what matters most to participants.
Community budget workshops are planned for September at various times and locations throughout Manteca. Workshops will include survey results, a plain-language overview of City revenues and restricted funds, an introduction to the Interactive Budget Book and an opportunity to ask questions and meet the Budget Team.
Workshop dates, times and locations will be announced after the survey closes.
Fiscal Impact:
There is no fiscal impact associated with this item. Outreach and workshop costs will be absorbed within the adopted Fiscal Year 2026-27 budget.
