Background:
Since 1985, people in the United States have celebrated Park and Recreation Month in July to promote building strong, vibrant and resilient communities through the power of parks and recreation. Parks and Recreation programs are an integral part of communities throughout this country, including the City of Manteca. It encourages physical activities by providing space for popular sports, classes, swimming pools and many other activities designed to promote active lifestyles.
Director of Parks & Recreation and Transit Brandy Clark along with staff, will be present to accept the proclamation.
