Background:
On June 20, 2023, City Council awarded the construction contract to Nor-Cal Pump & Well Drilling (Nor-Cal) in the amount of $927,853 and approved a construction contingency of 15% or $139,178 for a total not-to-exceed project cost of $1,067,031 for the Nile Garden Well 30 Water Supply Project - Well Drilling (CIP 21026 & 21034) ("Project").

The Project was constructed in general conformance with the conformed plans and specifications.

The project included three contract change orders having a total project cost reduction of $19,900.

A summary of the change orders is as follows:

* Temporary pause in construction to allow for a geotechnical investigation.
* Installation of a larger casing pipe.
* Project credit for quantity adjustments of irrigation materials, and reduction to steel casing length.

The final construction cost is $907,953 and the Contractor has signed the final payment certification, see Attachment 4.

There is a 5% retention totaling $45,397.65 that will be released to the Contractor no sooner than 45 days after filing of the Notice of Completion with the San Joaquin County Clerk.
