Adopt a resolution accepting a grant from the State of California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control in the amount of $40,000 for the fiscal year 2024-2025, authorizing budget amendments as necessary, and authorize Chief of Police Stephen Schluer to sign grant application.

Background:
The Police Department has been awarded a grant in the amount of $40,000 from the State of California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. These funds will be used to reduce the number of calls at establishments and reduce the number of alcohol involved crimes. This will be done through a combination of education, training, and enforcement.
Fiscal Impact:
Funding for this grant will be on a reimbursement basis. Therefore, staff recommends the following:
1. Appropriate $40,000 in Revenue to the Police Grants Fund Intergovernmental Grants - State/County Alcoholic Beverage Control (Account No. 150.00.00.900-4475.12).
2. Appropriate $39,500 to the Police Grants Fund - Salary, Overtime (Account No. 150.11.00.200-5000.03).
3. Appropriate $500 to the Police Grants Fund - Supplies, ABC Shoulder Tap (Account No. 150.11.00.200-6210.18).
There is no fiscal impact to the General Fund.
