Background:
On April 19, 2022, following a review of proposals submitted in response to a Request for Proposals (RFP), the City entered into a contract with Bear Electrical Solutions for Streetlight and Traffic Signal Maintenance Services. The RFP provided for an initial three-year term with the option for two one-year extensions.

Staff is requesting an amendment to the current contract which expires in June 2026. This contract amendment is proposed to increase the contract's not-to-exceed amount. The existing contract funding has been utilized for scheduled maintenance, capital projects, reimbursable Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) projects and insurance-related repairs. The increased contract amount will ensure sufficient funding is available to support these services.

Staff is requesting to increase the not-to-exceed amount by $775,000, increasing the original contract from $1,650,000 to $2,425,000 for Contract C2022-46.
