Background:
The City of Manteca is in the process of completing the construction of Main Street: Yosemite Avenue to Atherton Drive Improvement Project (CIP 17001). The road work involves resurfacing and repairing the roadway base of the travel way along Main Street between Yosemite Avenue and Atherton Drive and on Union Road at the intersection of Wawona Drive. The majority of the Main Street rehabilitation is now complete. The remaining work is primarily signing and striping.

The road rehabilitation work required the additional improvements of 12 curb ramps to meet the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. Eight ADA curb ramps are located on Main Street and four at the intersection of Union Road and Wawona Street. Staff is requesting that City Council authorize the appropriation of $80,000 to cover the total cost and authorize the City Manager to approve change orders as per the City Purchasing Policy.

Fiscal Impact:
The Main Street: Yosemite Avenue to Atherton Drive Improvement Project (CIP 17001) has a total project budget of $3,445,065 and is funded as follows:

? Measure K - $210,000 (Account No. 44040.70.570.6410.02)
? Local Transportation Funds - $754,990 (Account No. 460.40.70.570.6410.10)
? RSTP/Subsidized Streets Fund - $2,480,075 (Account No. 480.00.00.900.6410.02)

Total expenditures to date is $399,893 of which $378,293 is for design, $3,001 is for ancillary costs, $16,439 is for construction management and $2,160 is for construction. The remaining contractual obligations is $4...
