Background:
On January 16, 2024 the City Council adopted a new mission, vision, and values statement:
Manteca City C.O.U.N.C.I.L. - Community. Optimism. United. Neighborly. Commitment. Integrity. Leadership.
The Manteca City Council embodies the values of community, neighborly compassion, and unwavering commitment to integrity, leadership, and optimism.
During the same meeting, the Council adopted five strategic priority areas in ranking order for Fiscal Year 2024-2025:
1. Plan for Updating City Infrastructure and Facilities
2. Economic Development & Vitality
3. Public Safety
4. Expand Homelessness & Housing Options and Solutions
5. Stabilize City Finances
The intention of this special meeting is to provide Council with a status update on the FY 2023-2024 Strategic Goals and Priorities Work Plan, Citywide accomplishments in 2023, and to present and rank department needs/ priorities for FY 2024-2025 in order to establish a Goals and Priorities Work Plan for the coming fiscal year.
Once the FY 2024-2025 Goals and Priorities Work Plan is finalized by Council, staff will return on a quarterly basis to provide status updates on the goals and objectives outlined.
