Background:
In March 2020, the City Council approved a contract with e-Plan Soft, an electronic plan review software firm, to provide software that allows the City to process all plans for permits electronically in a streamlined and expedited manner. This software proved to be a beneficial tool to increase department efficiencies.
On March 5, 2024, the City Council adopted a resolution amending the Professional Services Agreement with Resolution R2024-38. However, since that time, it has been determined that a new contract, not an amendment, is necessary. Further, the opportunity to negotiate a new contract would benefit the City by providing the opportunity to negotiate and potentially achieve better price and terms. For these reasons, City staff is requesting that the City Council rescind Resolution R2024-38. A new contract will be negotiated with e-Plan Soft in the very near future to ensure no loss of electronic plan review software for our customers occurs.
