Adopt a resolution authorizing the use of the California Association for Coordinated Transportation/Morongo Basin Transit Authority (CalACT/MBTA) Vehicle Purchasing Cooperative #20-01 to purchase one (1) 2023 Ford, Chassis Electric Van for Manteca Transit's Dial-a-Ride services in the amount of $115,637.85 and 3% contingency of $3,469.14 for a total not-to-exceed amount of $119,106.99 for Capital Improvement Program Project Transit Wheelchair Accessible Van (CIP 23029).

Background:
The City of Manteca is a member agency of the California Association for Coordinated Transportation (CalACT); a statewide association of small, rural and specialized transportation providers. As a component of promoting collaboration and exchange amongst smaller transit agencies, CalACT provides opportunities, through Purchasing Cooperatives, for small agencies to "piggyback" off existing procurement contracts, which are bid on a large scale, enabling the City to receive competitive pricing that the City might not otherwise receive on a purchase of one (1) electric van.
Purchasing Cooperative #20-01, issued through a joint effort between CalACT and MBTA (Morongo Basin Transit Authority), authorizes the City to purchase one (1) electric van from A-Z Bus Sales of Sacramento, California for Manteca Transit.
The City of Manteca Transit system operates both, fixed route and paratransit services. Currently, Manteca Transit's Dial-a-Ride services consist of three (3) 24-foot long, gas powered, cutaway buses.
