Present a Certificate of Recognition to the 2023 Humanitarian of the Year Shannon Sandoval, Administrative Assistant III.

Background:
Shannon Sandoval has been employed with the City of Manteca Public Works Department since April 2015. She continuously goes out of her way to improve the daily lives of those around her through her actions. Shannon volunteers her time to prepare for and plan City events including the Veterans Day Appreciation for City employees who are actively serving in the military or Veterans. Shannon also coordinated and prepared the Valentine’s Day Candy Grams to brighten people’s day and help raise additional funds to sponsor City events. Shannon strives to make City events successful going out of her way to plan, organize, set up and coordinate to ensure all those who attend have a great time. Shannon collaborates well with others, shares ideas and responsibilities to achieve common goals. She communicates effectively, shows respect and fosters a positive and inclusive team environment. By possessing these qualities, Shannon serves as a role model for Humanitarian of the Year.
