Background:
The Park Planning and Project Division for the City of Manteca is housed within the City's Public Works Department, and serves as the sole group responsible for all park and landscape related projects within the City limits. This includes capital projects, design work, plan reviews, renovation and other related tasks.

Some Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects and plan review processes require specialized design or technical services that staff cannot complete due to licensing requirements or capacity demands of staff. Contracting for on-call services creates a streamlined process to access the specific type of design and technical support services needed to move projects and development review towards completion. The on-call consultant has the ability to complete design work, plans and specifications, plan reviews, studies, project management and provide other specific technical project needs that will assist in expediting the backlog of currently approved projects.
